April was such a busy month! It went by super fast. I know the past 2 recaps have talked a lot about the anxiety I was dealing with, but April seemed to be pretty okay. I had a little anxiety near the beginning of the month but as time went on, the anxiety lessened drastically. I am going to say that it is because the sun started shinning more, we had more warm days, and it is now my favorite time of year...Spring.
One of the biggest moments of this month came at the very beginning! I was able to reach out to the Joyful Heart Foundation and let them know about this journey. My first 5k of the journey will be on October 3rd and I will officially be completing this 5k for The Joyful Heart. It sounds like they will be sending me a runner's shirt and creating a fundraising page. So keep your eyes out for that if you would like to support me in that race. Also, I will be creating a Joyful Heart team when I sign up for the race. So, if you would like to come out and support The Forever Home Run and The Joyful Heart, you can sign up under my team (I do believe there is a virtual option as well if you can't make it to Detroit that day!) More information on this will come soon!
This month was also incredibly busy, that could have played a role in the lessened anxiety as well. This month we:
bought our tickets to see Mariska Hargitay on Broadway (ON THE STAGE!)
had my SVU birthday party (It was a blast, check out the blog for pictures)
attended several shows that our friends were in (Baskerville, Anastasia, and Pippin)
watched SO MUCH basketball and the Knicks made it to round 2 of the playoffs! (First team to do so in the Eastern Conference.)
attended our friend's baby shower and learned the name of their baby!
had a team outing with my coworkers that I haven't seen in person in a few months.
went on walks OUTSIDE!!!!!
May is the start of the busiest time of year for us. We have SO many things coming up that I just know it is going to fly by:
We have more local theatre to support (The Last 5 Years)
Several movies that we have been talking about all year are coming out (We did go see The Devil Wears Prada 2, last night and it was everything that I wanted it to be. Relevant and not just a cash grab, which we should have known because Meryl Streep does NOT do sequels and she did this one)
My sister-in-law's bridal shower
Mariska Hargitay opens her Broadway show
The 31st, Rhiannon and I will be heading to NYC for a week long trip
I hate wishing for time to pass too quickly, but I absolutely cannot wait until the end of May so that I can finally get to June. Let's hope the weather holds up and we can get more walks in outside (it has been cold these last few days). How was your April?
